The 5,000 Tonne is located alongside the New England Highway at Ravensworth in the Hunter Valley and is a well known local landmark.

The works to be done includes (click on images below for more detail):

  • Inspections and removal of loose concrete from an EWP to make the ground level area safe.
  • A special belt plough being installed to divert the coal as the hang up is removed.
  • Rope Access used to carry out internal inspections within the confined space of the 5,000 Tonne Bin
  • Concrete is removed using hydro-demolition to Eliminate damage to the reinforcement.
