Project : North Sydney Railway Station Soffit Repairs
Project Date : 24 July 2009 - 5 October 2009
Project Location : Sydney, Australia
Safety Awareness, Good Housekeeping and a Skilled Reliable Team were all necessary to successfully complete concrete repairs as part of the North Sydney Railway Station Upgrade.
Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation (TIDC) contracted Silver Raven’s special services to carry out extensive concrete crack repairs at North Sydney Railway Station. Large scale barricading and screening were used to ensure the station platforms and surrounding areas were kept clean during the crack repairs process. Most of the work was carried out using EWP’s which were brought to the underground station on rail cars along with other necessary plant and equipment.
During the 4 months contract the repairs could only be done during short periods at night or on weekends. Only at these times was it possible to isolate parts of the busy station without disruption to the travelling public.
Quality Assurance and accurate records along with quantities and types of products used were also an important part of the work.
AECOM were the consultants who were very pleased with the end results and commended Silver Raven personnel on the quality and workmanship displayed throughout the course of the project.
